FUTURE EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATORS EVALUATE INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP PERFORMANCE IN WEB 2.0 BASED COLLABORATIVE LEARNING ACTIVITIES Tharrenos Bratitsis, University of Western Macedonia, Greece This paper raises the issue of
students being able to evaluate their performance and participation
in collaborative learning activities, both on an individual and a
group level. It reports findings of a comparative study, using a
blog, a wiki and a discussion forum, in which students documented
their preference of a Computer Mediated Communication (CMC) tool as
a collaboration platform, along with their perception of the tool’s
effect on the actual collaboration. Finally, it addresses issues on
students’ common misconceptions on aspects of collaboration. |
