Boat trip to Lindos
A trip to Lindos will be held on
Sunday, July 8.
Lindos, a striking jewel on the east
side of the island brags of its history. Home to the most known
acropolis of ancient Greece, second only to the acropolis of
Athens, Lindos takes its visitors to a trip through time. The
hellenistic staircase, the remnants of a roman temple and the
castle of the Knights of St John all speak of a town with a
history as breathtaking as the view of the endless blue sea
around you.
The narrow cobbled streets take you to the elegant town, filled
with small restaurants and cafes offering a fantastic view of
the castle and the sea from their terraces, while the fine-sand
beach on the rim of Lindos invites you to try some of the
warmest waters in the Mediterranean.

Greek island way of life and hospitality. Once the capital of
Dodecanese, Symi became very rich by developing the sea sponge
trade. Today the island has around 2500 habitants,
mostly engaged in tourism, fishing, and trade.
Visiting this unique island one can
admire the neoclassical 19th
century town, with its colorful little houses. One can also feel
the atmosphere of the island. There will be a one hour stop at
Panormitis, the Monastery of Angel Michael, a
